The Cry ::

95% of people in Washoe County are far from God. We live in one of the most unchurched counties in America. Our divorce rate is twice the national average. Our unemployment rate is 14%. Hurting people are disconnected and lonely and in need of a caring community.

The Response ::

The statistics are obvious: our community is in crisis. As God’s people we are called to make a difference. But the reality is, we can only do so much from a portable church that meets once per week. Therefore, the L3 Project aims to create a church home. We are planning a 30,000 square foot multi-purpose building which will house our Sunday services, children’s ministry and double as a community center for athletics and other events to serve the 65,000 people within a 5-mile radius.

The Cry ::

Right now, there are 53,000,000 orphans in Africa. That’s more than the combined populations of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada.
16,000 African children die each day due to starvation and preventable diseases.

The Response ::

We can change lives! From daily basics such as food and clean water to spiritual salvation, through the L3 Project, LifeChurch will teach children in Africa about Jesus and grow God’s kingdom for generations to come! As we move through the L3 Project, our goal is to break ground on an African orphanage by Summer 2011. This orphanage will not only have the potential to be self-sustaining, but also provide a church and medical clinic for over 100 children at a time.
